Thank you for visiting my website, my name is Christopher Cantin. I have a true passion for light and composing photographs. The image that is being used for the background of my website is a long exposure of colored light on water. I have worked on ideas and creative visions expansively over the last 3 years within the prestigious Photography Program at Lansing Community College. The program has been in existence for over 40 years and has a staff that knows their stuff, having worked in the photography world their entire lives. Learning from the best, this Photographic Imaging Associates Degree has made me a well-rounded photographer that is ready to work in the field and create art in the form of photographs.

I take walks in the woods and find natural shapes, tiny details, and undeniable beauty in environments that will be here long after us. I also enjoy leaving the shutter open. The self portrait of me below is one image. I took the long exposure of the highway light trails and have that framed in my home. I started by taking a photo of that and then jumping in front of the camera for 13 seconds to burn myself in, creating the double exposure.
